The Costs of Workplace Harassment & Discrimination

January 23, 2019

Workplace harassment, including discrimination, has been proven to cost employers, as set forth in this article at BenefitsPRO.  Employers are impacted by the following

  1. Employee retention, including not only in those directly affected, but also those surrounding the person impacted.

  2. Employee recruitment, as the ability to recruit new employees is harmed as word about such issues spreads.

  3. Medical costs, resulting in higher charges for both physical and medical issues experienced by workers, including depression and stress.

  4. Productivity, which is likely to decrease due to a lack of focus on production and employee turnover.

All of these impacts are obviously counter-intuitive to the kind of culture today’s employers and employees are desiring.

Work Shield helps employers solve these issues by providing a culture of respect and inclusion.
